World Cataract Foundation Mexico, A.C.

The World Cataract Foundation Mexico, A.C. was established on June20, 2001 in Acapulco, Mexico. The main objective of the WCF Mexico is to oversee the “Guerrero: Let There Be Light” Project. The World Cataract Foundation and the state of Guerrero are working together toward the goal of eliminating cataract blindness in Guerrero by 2010.

WCF Mexico, A.C. President, Dr. Ariel Ramirez, works with his Board of Directors to seek monetary support, coordinate the distribution of donated equipment, set up clinics with necessary equipment, and increase the surgeries to 5,000 a year. The WCF Mexico Board meets quarterly and communicates regularly with WCF.
