Million Dollar Round Table Foundation Grant

<p class="font_8">Representing the MDRT Foundation, K.C. Lam, CLU, ChFC, CFP, presented this grant to World Cataract Foundation President, Gib Wilson, at the World Cataract Foundation, 15th Annual Sight Night held at Theatre Memphis on August 15, 2019. K.C. is a 36 year qualifying and life member, a Silver Knight, a 21 year Court of the Table and 5 year Top of the Table of the Million Dollar Round Table. He is an Emeritus Director of the World Cataract Foundation Board of Directors and founder of the Financial Planning Group of Memphis.</p>

<p class="font_8">This generous grant will be used to purchase an EPIC operating microscope developed by Eyemobil. This scope weights less than 50 lbs. and is built for missions. It is packed in a sturdy pelican case and includes an easily movable floor stand and high quality locking wheels. It also has an easy to use monitoring and recoding system for teaching. It doesn’t falter during power outages. If the power flickers or fails completely, the microscope lighting will continue on for up to 20 hours on the battery power. It will recharge as soon as the power is restored. &nbsp;Lori Hudson, Executive Director of World Cataract Foundation, said, “To deliver the best care possible to our patients, it is important to have dependable equipment that is easy to transport. The scopes we have had in the past required two cases and weighed more than 50 lbs. each. We are grateful to MDRT Foundation for providing the funds to purchase this technically advanced and easily transportable microscope.”</p>
