MDRT grants WCF $10,000

World Cataract Foundation is grateful to receive a $10,000 grant from the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation. This grant will be used towards the purchase of an EPIC portable teaching microscope by eyeMobil. This specific instrument allows volunteer surgeons to double their caseload during a trip while, in many cases, teaching local ophthalmologists in real time. This improves patient care. Our volunteers travel with confidence knowing this microscope will be available to them regardless of the venue.

The grant was awarded through the Global Grant Program and sponsored by MDRT Member, KC Lam. The MDRT Foundation was founded in 1959 with the mission to help those less fortunate in the communities where members of MDRT, an international association of financial services professionals, live and work.
